Special Promo (70% discount) for Project Finance Models Extended for the Whole February 2010

The author of this blog is indeed very happy for the response and interest on the project finance models that has been offered for sale in the internet thru either PayPal (using the DONATE button), or thru the DATA page for small-scale and large-scale project finance models.  The discount is further increased from the previous 50% to 70% to keep the momentum going for this marvelous special promo.

Thus for February 2010, a 70% discount on large-scale project finance models will be offered to all our valued clients.  The price of small-scale project finance models, however, remain to enable the author continue his pioneering work.

To-date, the models have been used by the following clients:

1) Simple cycle and combined cycle GTs for instructional purposes of graduate students in a university in Africa.

2) 1200 mw Simple Cycle GT for utilizing surplus natural gas in a major exporting country in Africa.

3) 250-500 mw Combined Cycle GT for the deregulated US power market.  Using 15-year forecast of electricity tariff and fuel prices (gas oil), the client used my project finance model to determine the value of the surplus GT for sale, and with each current tariff and fuel price, decide whether to operate or shutdown the CCGT.

4) 1 mw utility scale solar PV for storing off-peak solar energy into hydrogen and oxygen thru electrolysis of water from solar PV electricity and its conversion to peak-electricity using utility scale fuel cells.

5) 50-100 mw mine-mouth Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) power plant using lignite coal.  The client used the model to define the feasibility of the power project by varying plant location (near river, near coal mine), configuration (1 x 50, 2 x 50, 1 x 100), transmission line conductor type (low cost/high energy loss, high cost/low energy loss), CFB supplier.  The model included extensive sensitivity analysis on the equity DCF-IRR presented as a tornado (spider) chart by implementing a +10% and -10% change in the major variables (tariff, fuel price, plant heat rate, capacity, generation, capital costs, O&M costs, degradation, etc).

6) 250-500 mw Greenfield natural gas-fired CCGT.  The client used the model to optimize the OEM engine model/manufacturer (Siemens, General Electric, Mitsubishi, Alstom), configuration (1 x 250, 2 x 250), plant location and cooling method (once thru sea water, once thru lake water, river water cooling tower, deep well cooling tower, inland dry cooling radiator type), transmission line (type, length, conductor).  Likewise, the model included extensive sensitivity analysis on the equity DCF-IRR presented as a tornado (spider) chart by implementing a +10% and -10% change in the major variables (tariff, fuel price, plant heat rate, capacity, generation, capital costs, O&M costs, degradation, etc).

The reader is thus encouraged to order now to avail of this wonderful promotion.

The available models are:

1) Small-scale models – diesel, RE (biomass, mini-hydro, wind, solar), hybrid diesel + RE, cogeneration

20 Large-scale models – large hydro, hybrid and best new entrant, pulverized coal, advanced coal (CFB), geothermal, simple cycle, combined cycle, energy storage, solar thermal, fuel cells, nuclear, etc.

In addition, I provide financial modeling services for incorporation in an integrated business plan of an energy company in order to have forecast generation, revenues, expenses, cash flows, balance sheet, and financial ratios.

This integrated business plan will serve as framework for guiding the top management of an energy company charting the future course of the company for sustainable growth.
